The Meridian Freedom Project received a donation of $500 to help the organization purchase PPE for their staff and Freedom Fellows.
The donation was gifted to the Meridian Freedom Project by Percy Bland at Percy Bland State Farm Insurance Agency. The funds will be used to purchase gloves, hand sanitizer and masks, as the Meridian Freedom Project prepares to resume programs in person through a hybrid model, but still continuing to offer their program virtually.

“We’re just excited to just get that donation so that we can continue our programming in person. You know, over the summer and in the spring, we had to do pretty much online only, but the way our program is set up we would like to have that social-emotional interaction with our students. We like to see them; we like to work with them hands-on,” said Adrian Cross, Executive Director of The Meridian Freedom Project.
The Meridian Freedom Project is now accepting applications for students that would like to become a Freedom Fellow and participate in their virtual and hybrid program.
