The salvation army is once again preparing to help local children in need hopefully enjoy the upcoming holiday season.

Christmas is right around the corner and the salvation army is gearing up early to be able to bring some children their Christmas miracle. Little angels just like this will be put up on trees in businesses around the for people to adopt and fulfill a child's Christmas wish.
Captain Tamara Robb said" So the angel tree program is something that has been going on for many years. And in our community. Their parents weren't able to provide Christmas for them. And so we were able to take their information down the kids, sizes, their gender, and then their wishes and their needs."
This week starts registrations for parents. The angel tree program is eligible for children ages 12 and under and parents must meet certain requirements to be eligible.
"There's a certain level of income that they can have in order to put their angels on the tree. And then we work with them through that to make sure their ranges are adopted."
Those who may be interested in adopting an angel can easily do so.
"So after we get the angels on the trees, people will adopt those. And we have a bag that is attached to the back of her, and they purchase the items for the children, and they put them in the bag, get them back to the salvation army."
Last year the salvation army was able to bring Christmas miracles to over 900 children in need and says they enjoy seeing the gratefulness from the families.
“We've had parents dropped to their knees and gratefulness not to us, but how God has blessed them.”
