The Stronger Together Foundation held its Annual 5k was held in downtown Meridian

Meridian, MS - Plenty of people in Meridian laced up their running shoes over the weekend.

The Annual 5k was hosted by The Stronger Together Foundation and took place in downtown Meridian.

Organizers point out that this charity fundraiser spreads awareness of veteran suicide in the states of Mississippi and Alabama.

Families of former veterans who have fallen victim to suicide were at the marathon sharing stories and remembering their loved ones.

This event is one of many that The Stronger Together Foundation puts on throughout the year to spread awareness and support people in need.
