The town of Marion is under a water boil advisory.

Meridian, MS - If you live in the town of Marion, you're being urged to boil your water before drinking it.

Mayor Larry Gill says the boil water notice is necessary because of a leak that happened Friday during the reconstruction of the Dale Drive bridge.

Two new valves were put in place and the leaks have stopped.

Mayor Gill says the water is being tested today, and he should have the results back on Wednesday to let the town know of the current water condition.
