Town of Butler will allow trick-or-treating on Halloween

In Choctaw County, the town of Butler has announced that it will allow for trick or treating to take place on Halloween.

On Saturday, October 31, trick of treating is permitted to take place from 5:30pm-9pm. The Butler Police Department asks that those who plan to participate leave their porch lights on to indicate that trick or treaters are welcome. There will be additional police patrol vehicles out that evening, and parents are asked to either walk their children around neighborhoods or take them in a vehicle.
