Sunday, MS highway patrol received a call from the Newton County Sheriff's department notifying them of a car crash. When patrol arrived on the scene near Ledlow road, three cars had been involved in a head-on collision where two of the three drivers were pronounced dead on the scene

Around 4:30 a.m. near Ledlow road, the driver of a 2009 Honda CRV, Mary A. Evans was traveling north on Mississippi highway 15. The vehicle of Evans included two passengers, one who was airlifted along with two children who were reportedly unrestrained and were both airlifted to Batons Children’s Hospital in Jackson.
Driving behind Evans in a 2004 Ford Expedition was Treyon L. Mack.
Both Evans and Mack were pronounced dead on the scene.
Highway patrolman tells us that Evans and Mack were the parents of the two children.
The third driver, Christopher A. Cook, drove a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado south toward Highway 15. Cook suffered from minor injuries and, was also transported to the hospital.
The destination of all drives has not been reported.
There have been no updates on the condition of the passengers hospitalized.
