Meridian Police Department (MPD) is investigating a two-stop burglary that happened early Sunday morning.

The robbery occurred at Silver Dollar Pawn Exchange early Sunday morning around 2:30 AM. The owner, Brian Thompson, said he saw the burglary on his security camera.
“Right now, we’re in the process of repairing the damage, we’re exhausted from having to do all that. We’re disappointed that someone would do this”, said Thompson.

Thompson said he is glad the alarm went off and is pleased with how the MPD responded.
“They had taken a flatbed truck and rammed it into the side of our building several times. Fortunately, the alarm went off and the police responded. We're pleased with how Meridian Police Department responded.”
The robbers drove a white flatbed truck that they used to back into the pawnshop several times leaving a huge hole in the side of the building.

Meridian police say that later ,Slay Steel reported that their flatbed truck was stolen. The police believe that the truck used in the pawnshop robbery is the same truck that was reported stolen.
No suspects have been identified so far. This is an ongoing investigation. Updates to come as information becomes available.
