The United Way of East Mississippi will host their 9th annual Stuff the Bus program July 16th at Raising Canes and Bonita Lakes Mall from 9AM to 3PM. The program is designed to help elementary students have the supplies they need when school restarts.
The program receives various donations each year to help the organization with a smoother transition.

Because of COVID-19, the program will not have as many volunteers as usual. Volunteers can sign up at the East Mississippi Volunteer Hub. To keep limited interaction, there will be only 4 volunteer hubs for every 2 hour shifts.
Items will be thoroughly sanitized before handout.
Kemper County and Neshoba County events will be held July 15th for Kemper and Neshoba, July 21st for Stuff the Bus.
“I think it’s very important and very great that they’re doing this," says Kenya Bass. "So many people are going through hard times right now and previously were going through hard times, so now it’s doubled on hard times with the pandemic. It’s a blessing that they’re doing this to help out with the parents and the children.”
