Meridian, MS - The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall has made its way to the Queen City.
The wall is a 3/5 scale of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. and is etched with the names of more than 58,000 fallen heroes.
It was created to help “heal and rekindle friendships,” and to allow people the opportunity to visit loved ones in their hometown who may be unable to make the trip to Washington.
The Wall will be on display Friday-Sunday, July 21-23, at the East Mississippi Veterans Memorial Park.
A series of ceremonies, candlelight vigils and other events will highlight a historical exhibition in Meridian this weekend.
