Vitalant and Waitr joined forces today for a blood drive at Meridian Community College. Everyone that gave blood today received a coupon with a code for free delivery the next time they use Waitr as well as a Halloween t-shirt.
Meridian Community College students volunteered at the drive to receive community service hours for their ‘My College Cares’ event.
“Each year, Meridian Community College puts this on for us and they get a bunch of volunteers to come out in the community to come out and give blood,” said Vitalant Donor Recruitment Supervisor Katie Nielsen. “With COVID-19, we’ve seen a huge decrease of blood donations so we’re really asking people if you haven’t given blood recently or you’ve never tried it--come on out and give that life saving resource.”
