Meridian, MS - The deadline to register to vote in the Mississippi primaries is approaching quickly.
The Deadline to register is now Monday, July 10th.
Circuit Clerk offices will be open Saturday, July 8th, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, for people who can’t register Monday through Friday.
“The main thing that we want to stress right now is if you need to register to vote or change your address, we need you to do it by 5:00 July 10th. If you mail in your voter registration it has to be postmarked by the 10th.” - Donna Jill Johnson: Circuit Clerk
Senate Bill 2358 also goes into effect on July 1, 2023, in Mississippi for the upcoming election.
This Bill prevents someone handling another person’s ballot.
If you’re not registered in time to vote on August 8th, you’re still able to vote if there’s a runoff and in the general election in November.
