Meridian, MS - A non-profit organization in Meridian is asking for help from the community.
The Wesley House Community Center is asking for donations of canned goods for its food pantry.
The Center hands out food bags every Wednesday to those in need, and about 1,200 families each month. The bags consist of meat, canned goods, bread, and fresh produce.
“We try to make sure we’ve got a well-balanced bag, between the meats, the protein, the carbs the vegetables, and things we can have in there, and so a lot of times those extra donations can help fill the gaps.” says Executive Director David Schultz
If you would like to donate canned foods, you can drop off your donations any day of the week.
